Micro motors are compact in size yet powerful, finding widespread application across various fields such as home appliances, automobiles, and medical equipment. To enhance the performance and service life of micro motors, core coating processes are essential. The following outlines the core coating process for traditional direct current (DC) micro motors:

  1. Pre-treatment: To ensure coating adhesion and corrosion resistance, the core surface must undergo cleaning and phosphating treatment. The cleaning solution consists of deionized water and 4% sodium hydroxide, with an immersion time of 30 minutes. The phosphating solution is a mixture of 1% phosphoric acid and 2% hydrofluoric acid, with an immersion time of 5 minutes.
  2. Primer coating: An epoxy primer suitable for DC micro motors is selected and applied uniformly using an automatic coating machine, with a thickness of 15 μm to 20 μm. The coated core is then cured in a 120°C oven for 1 hour.
  3. Intermediate coating: Use an epoxy-modified coating to enhance adhesion. Add the curing agent and diluent, mix thoroughly, and apply using a spray gun. The thickness is also 15 μm to 20 μm. Place the intermediate coating in a 120°C oven for 1 hour.
  4. Final Coating: Apply an epoxy resin coating similar to the intermediate coating, designed to enhance adhesion and abrasion resistance. Maintain a thickness of 15 μm to 20 μm. Cure the final coating in a 120°C oven for 1 hour.
  5. Inspection: Test parameters such as coating thickness, adhesion, and electrical insulation performance. After the coating passes inspection, proceed with custom cup processing.

The above process is applicable to the core coating of DC micro motors. Depending on the specific motor model, industry requirements, and application, the coating formula, thickness, curing time, and temperature may vary. Micro motors produced in factories undergo a core coating process, which can significantly improve motor performance, extend motor life by up to 20%, and expand market share.
